What is your adoption policy?
The adoption contracts states the adopted pet must be spayed or neutered before
leaving the Fayette County Animal Control Center. If for some reason, the adopter
is unable to keep or care for the pet, the pet must be returned to the FCACC (pets
can not be given away to anyone). Once the pet is adopted, if the adopter is not
completely satisfied with the adopted pet, there is a ten (10) day return policy, in
exchange for another pet of the same breed (at no charge). If the adopter does not
comply with the Adoption Contract as described above (within the limited time the
law allows), the adopted pet shall be reclaimed by the FCACC and legal action shall
be taken towards the adopter. The adopter also understands that adoption fees,
deposit fees and reclaim fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
