Do You Need Help with Vet Expenses?
If you "feel" something is wrong with your pet, you are probably right.
We all must remember that our pets cannot speak and depend on us to
recognize when something is wrong.  If you are afraid that you cannot
afford to have your pet treated, please have your veterinarian's office
call us and we will be happy to speak to you and your vet.  Our goal is
to see that your pet gets the necessary medical treatment so he/she can
live a long and happy life where he belongs, with you!  Our
organization was started because one family couldn't afford to get the
necessary medical treatment to save their dog's life.  No one should
ever be faced with a situation where they debate putting a pet to sleep
because they cannot financially afford to get the pet treated.
I've come to believe that compassion, in which all
ethics must take root, can only attain its full
breadth and depth if it embraces all living
creatures and does not limit itself to mankind.
~Albert Schweitzer, Nobel Peace Prize address,  "The Problem of
Peace in the World Today"
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
  • Take your pet to the vet - IF you do not have a vet,
please call us and if we are able to assist, we will make
    the vet appointment for you.
  • Ask the vet for an estimate of medical treatment
  • If you cannot financially afford the entire cost, ask
your vet to call The Lunch Box Foundation for Pets
  • Leave your name and number with the vet to give to us
  • Give your vet permission to discuss your pet's health
    with our foundation
What happens next
  • The vet's office will contact The Lunch Box Foundation
for Pets to discuss your pets needs and cost of medical
    treatment
  • We will contact you to discuss our financial assistance
& the need to spay or neuter your pet as part of the
condition of our assistance.  The Lunch Box
Foundation for Pets will cover this additional cost if
we elect to spay or neuter.  If your pet is healthy
enough to withstand the spay or neuter, this will be
scheduled as part of it's necessary medical treatment.
(on a case by case basis, which depends on your pet's
    overall health and age)
  • Once agreed, we will contact your vet to confirm our
    involvement
  • You will contact the vet to schedule the appointment
  • You will notify The Lunch Box Foundation for Pets of
    the appointment date and time
  • We will confirm with the vet's office that treatment has
been completed and will provide our shared payment
directly to the vet's office. **We pay directly to the vet,
    not to the pet owner**
If we are able to assist you in caring for your pet's medical
expenses, we do not require that you reimburse The Lunch Box
Foundation for Pets.  What we do ask is that you please keep us
in mind for a possible donation in the future, so that we may
continue helping families and their pets in need.
Sincerely,  The Lunch Box Foundation for Pets
